When and How to Lock In Your Seasonal Camping Site
If you already know you want to spend more time camping next year, there’s no reason to wait until spring to start planning. Seasonal camping gives you a place to call your own throughout the camping season, and getting your plans in place early can make the process much easier.
At Breezy Hill Campground in Fallentimber, PA, seasonal RV sites run from May 1 through October 31, giving campers a full season to enjoy the outdoors, relax by the fire, and explore everything the area has to offer. If you’re thinking about making Breezy Hill your home base for 2027, here’s why it’s worth getting started early.
Why Book Your 2027 Seasonal Site Early?
Seasonal camping is popular for a reason. Instead of towing your RV, setting everything up, and packing it all back up every weekend, you have a dedicated spot waiting for you. Breezy Hill’s seasonal sites offer full hookups, including water, electric, and sewer, along with amenities such as laundry facilities, bath houses, campfire rings, a camp store, and pet-friendly camping.
Planning early also gives you a better chance of getting the type of site and location you want. Seasonal sites are limited, and campers who already know they want to return may start making plans well before the next camping season begins.
When Should You Start Planning?
The simple answer is: as early as possible. Fall and winter are great times to start thinking about your 2027 camping plans. You don’t have to wait for warm weather to decide where you want to spend the summer.
Starting early gives you time to:
- Decide if seasonal camping is right for your family
- Figure out your camping budget
- Talk with the campground about available sites
- Choose the location that works best for you
- Get your RV ready for another season
- Make plans for how you’ll use your site throughout the year
Breezy Hill currently lists seasonal RV sites starting at $1,900 for the May 1 through October 31 season, although campers should contact the campground for current availability and specific site information.
Think About What You Want From Your Site
Before choosing a seasonal site, think about how you actually like to camp. Do you want a quiet spot where you can relax with your morning coffee? Are you planning to spend most weekends at the campground with family and friends? Will you bring your pets? Do you want enough room around your RV for outdoor seating, a fire pit, and other camping comforts?
Having an idea of how you’ll use your site can make it easier to find a spot that fits your camping style. And with Breezy Hill’s location less than two miles from Prince Gallitzin State Park and Glendale Lake, you’ll have plenty to do when you’re ready to leave the campsite for a day of hiking, boating, fishing, or exploring.
Get Your RV Ready During the Off-Season
Once you’ve secured your 2027 seasonal site, winter is a great time to start getting your RV ready. Take care of routine maintenance, inspect your plumbing and electrical systems, check your tires, and make sure everything is ready to go when spring arrives. You can also start thinking about the little additions that will make your seasonal site feel more like your own outdoor getaway.
A comfortable outdoor seating area, a new grill, some decorations, or a few upgrades around your campsite can make a big difference when you’re spending the whole season there.
Make 2027 Your Year for Seasonal Camping
One of the biggest benefits of seasonal camping is having a place you can return to again and again. Instead of planning every weekend around packing, towing, and setting up, you can simply head to Breezy Hill and settle into your own seasonal spot.
You’ll also have the opportunity to become part of the campground community, reconnect with familiar faces, and make new memories throughout the season. Breezy Hill describes its seasonal camping experience as a peaceful, laid-back environment where campers can relax while staying close to the outdoor activities around Prince Gallitzin State Park.
